VACATION. You will have to excuse the crazy tan lines but I had the best time laying out on the beach and soaking up the sunshine this past week.
I’m a little sad to be back at work this Tuesday but I’m feeling refreshed and ready to roll! Gulf Shores is a beautiful little get away. Small town vibes with beautiful beaches and sunsets make for the perfect vacation spot. I so wish Blake could have enjoyed it with his family and me. Deployments love to shake plans up. But it was nice to enjoy his family and spend quality time with them. And besides modern technology allowed us to face time him each night. I have truly been blessed with a boyfriend who has a great family. They treat me as their own and model what a true Christian marriage is all about.
We spent most of the time just laying on the beach. The weather was so perfect. It rained one time the whole week and only lasted about thirty minutes. We went one night to the hangout. We had to wait a while for the table, but the atmosphere is so fun with a band, games, and dancing that we didn’t even notice the wait time. I had shrimp tacos. They were delicious! My favorite part about going to the beach with Blake’s family is that his dad is a phenomenal cook. Instead of going out to eat every night he likes to cook seafood. This time he even tried frying oysters. So. Good. You’ll never go hungry when he’s in the kitchen.
I love watching the gorgeous sunsets on the beach. One night I went down and sat on the beach and took so many pictures of the sunset because I was in complete awe. I see God so well when I look at sunsets. I see how intricate each little detail and color comes together to paint a beautiful picture. It shows how he cares about each and every little thing and how it is all for His glory. If he cares to make a sunset that beautiful then I know that he works just as hard to put that kind of detail in creating each one of us. How cool! I hope that you are having a sweet summer and get the opportunity to take a vacation and just relax for a little while! I’d love to hear about how your summer is going and your favorite places to visit so feel free to leave a comment!
Happy Taco Tuesday friends.
